On Sunday, March 3rd, these 11 female Great Danes were being shown at the Hawaiian Kennel Club’s 200th all-breed dog show in Honolulu. As most of you know, all the Fawn girls are related: mother and two litters of full sisters whose great uncle (Niko) and father (Jimmy) were the #1 and #8 Great Danes, respectively, in the 2015 national rankings. The lone Blue Great Dane is from the Mafimafi Danes kennel in Australia.
In the three shows of the weekend, the Blue took Winners bitch (WB) twice (in shows 2 and 3 on Sunday) for two majors and 9 points toward her championship! The other WB (on Saturday morning) was young puppy Rosie out for her first show. She is the dog on the far right in this group picture with Barbara (one of our newest club members). Next to her is Zélie, who took Best of Breed (BoB) in both Saturday shows and Select on Sunday, making progress toward her Grand Champion Bronze award.

On Sunday, we all celebrated with Cleo took BoB and finished her Grand Championship! Aurora and Cleo each took Select at the Saturday shows. The Reserve Winners Bitch (RWB) awards went to a different girl each day:  Waimea, handled by Charity, won RWB on Saturday morning;  Karra was RWB Saturday afternoon; and Sunday RWB went to Sienna, handled by Nilo.
